Michael Ward, 55 year old, 3rd generation art model. Both his grandmother and mother were models. Michael’s first modeled when he was 15. His pursue as an art model has been supported by his family since day one. However he could not be gay. Being gay in those days would have meant an early death. For almost 30 years he said nothing about his sexual orientation. Denying himself was the hardest thing he did. In this series, Michael just wanted to express his inner feelings of pain. “How do I truly come out when my past is still in?” Michael said.
