My visual language stems from sophisticated direction & careful attention to composition. I instinctively place the foreground, middle ground & background spatial divides of each image in order to enhance the photographs' depth & richness. And this combined with a mystical lighting & the use of a chiaroscuro further embellishes the depth of each work, enticing a viewer to analyse each photograph and reveal the story it has to tell. I have noticed these works elicit a viewer, on first glance, to ponder the reality of the work . "Could it be real?" A viewer may ask. Then, on a second, and more pensive perusal ... "well maybe it could". Mystery & intrigue are the driving powers in these works & it's the ambivalence of their degree of reality that I use to heighten a viewer's visual experience.
My personal projects tend to confirm a seamless transition from my personal to my commissions.
My most recent project, an ongoing series of photographs entitled "Hypo Real" is designed as pure visual indulgence.
Through this series I pay homage to contemporary city life however the works are not reliant on sensationalism or current social issues.
More so, this series is a report on the interface of human endeavour and cultural boundaries & how these factors determine our life in huge metropolises.
Currently there are more than twenty works inn the series of which I have exhibited a maximum limit of five here.
Each work is carefully crafted with a unique narrative & It's these pictures that have always demanded attention, often polarising the "visual community".
