Not all photographic works are the result of planning or of travelling so far. I spent a few days in autumn in the countryside of Umbria (central Italy), to accompany a friend on a visit to his old parents. One day as I was coming back to the village I was greatly impressed by the view of the sunset behind the hills of countryside. The seeded fields engraved by deep folds, the shadows of the hills that overlooked the land like giant waves ... it seemed to me to see for few seconds a secret harmony, the beauty created by the human activity and the nature together.
