Project on my mother, started in 2009 and still ongoing. I started photographing my mother to learn to use the camera. I continued doing it in order to spend some time with her. I'm still photographing her to witness and tell our story. Photography sort of bridges our relationship and helps me to know her. "Certo, si sono create discrepanze dolorose anche nella mia anima e sono vissuta fuori dalla realtà per chissà quanto tempo" ("Surely, some painful cracks developed in my soul and I lived out of reality for who knows how long"). This is one of the sentences my mother wrote on her diary, which offers an important reference point for this work.
