I had the opportunity to volunteer at Miksaliste in August 2015, the Refugees Aid Centre opened in Belgrade, Serbia. Miksaliste was the first support to refugees arriving to Belgrade bus station, travelling on the Balkan route. The centre was a lifeline to many where they could get some new clothes, shoes, basic food/medication and doctor check-up. A boy was happy to get some toys and a game called “Hunt for diamonds”
