Hurricane Wilma was the third hurricane of the Atlantic 2005 season to reach category 5 status, setting a new record for the seasonal number of category 5 storms. It was the 12th hurricane of the season, tying 1969 for the most in any season. Wilma was also the most intense hurricane on record in the Atlantic. I reached Miami one day after hurricane Wilma had passed on and dissipated. During my stay, I photographed the Atlantic Ocean from the 24-th floor of one of the many tall buildings that crowed the Miami Beach shore. In the early morning hours, almost as a ritual, I recorded the many colours, hues and tones that the now calm sea and sky magically offered.
