Along with reported high crime rates and its part in the post election violence in which Hundreds lost their lives. Many Journalist, Photographers and filmmakers have ventured into Kibera and come out with Images that have shocked and disturbed up. Yet if you can see beyond the problem there is great determination, hope and no lack of skills being displayed by the residents, empowered to build better lives for them selves, their families and communities. There are a huge variety of different small businesses that litter every main street and many of the back streets. Dress making shops, hair salons, pool halls and event a couple of photography studios.
