At age 23, Nathan Law was the youngest-ever person to be elected in as a Hong Kong legislator, and now jailed for starting the famous Umbrella Movement. Shortly after the election, Beijing made a new rule that shocked many - it disqualifies any legislator for not showing enough seriousness and sincerity when reading the oath of office. Nathan and five other pro-democracy legislators were disqualified from their seats. He now faces millions in legal fees and is likely to go bankrupt. “I won't give up fighting” - said Nathan at a press conference. Before entering the legislative battlefield, Nathan led the Umbrella Movement as a student representative. This photo was taken after the movement. He went back to the place where it all started, where the government threw the first teargas to peaceful protesters demanding universal suffrage for all.
