This is one of a series of photographs called "Ghosts of our past". The entire series was photographed in Centralia Pennsylvania which was once a coal mining town, now reduced to a ghost town. Barren land, smoking tears in the ground and abandoned roads lay before the town once called Centralia. All that is left now are her stories.
