A woman sorting Mastic in the village of Pyrgri on the island of Chios, Greece. I was on my way out of the village, in the back of a taxi with my great uncle. He asked the driver to stop, and he started chatting with an elderly gentlemen carrying sacks of mastic tears. When I looked up, I saw this woman sorting the mastic right in front of her sweet village house. Its a sight one may see only upon traveling to the special island of Chios. Mastic grows only on the southern half of the island.
