I use photography to deconstruct urban spaces, to spatially re-stage urban contexts, and to play with our perception of space (and reality). The picture is part of the series “In the Eye of the Storm", in which I exploit the geometry of the urban environment. I use perspective and dimensions to create a sense of direction and depth. To enhance the effect, I exploit reflections and I experiment with long shutter speeds and several zoom settings in one exposure. The symmetric composition is used to convey a sense of stillness and to evoke the impression of being in the eye of the storm.
