This series aims to challenge and disrupt western perceptions of feminine beauty with faceless portraits of women. Digitally composited objects, such as flowers, obscure the unique features of the face, creating anonymity as well as representing an interpretation of divine beauty. Flowers are incorporated into ritual and sacrament the world over, as symbols of eros, beauty, fertility, joy and resurrection. This series explores the notion of the divine beauty of women while considering boundaries of identity and the relationship of the individual to both natural and surreal settings.
