This series of images was included in the anual report for Surgical Eye Expeditions International. The images were taken in the village of Sendafa, Ethiopia. The name Sendafa translates as “forgotten village." The lack of medical care is significant and poor nutrition leads to significant vision problems. These images depict the people of the village, the area and a bit of the medical clinic supported by the charitable efforts of SEE International.
A trip to a small village in Ethiopia began John Briggs photography career. His camera became a vehicle to tell stories and paint pictures. His passion for photography is fueled by ongoing studio work and travel. His home and studio are located in Pennsylvania which is in close proximity to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
