The Art of Memory is an ongoing series of photographs that Joseph Rotindo has been working on for several years. This series combines physical space with the overall impression he took from experiences/places/events, to create a photograph that is more recollection of a memory than strict representation.
Primarily self-taught, Joseph Rotindo is a fine art photographer living in Quebec. His abstract work focuses on varying relationships between light, time, and motion. Joe has been taking photographs almost his whole life. Recently, he has experienced success with publication in several magazines (Color and Diffusion Magazine), books (Best of Photography Annual - 2007, 2008, and 2009 editions), and in galleries (Upstream People Gallery, 15x100). Joe also received an Honorable Mention for the 2010 and 2011 International Photography Awards, and several of his photographs appeared in Canadian punk band Third Place's debut album "Lifeland" (also in 2010).
