From “Passing,” a series of photographs that attempts to capture that which is fleeting. The images become dreamlike and painterly which adds the subtext of a study in impermanence. Shot in the tradition of funeral trains, the images capture the landscape from a moving vehicle (train, auto).
Anne Kristoff is a self-taught photographer and mixed media collage artist who splits time between New York City and an Army base in southeast Alabama. Her work examines the duality of these two lives and is a study of noticing the details that are often overlooked by others.
