Photograph taken in a home for elderly people with altzheimer.
Daniel Breckpot is not only a photographer, he is also a gifted illustrator and painter. In photography, he is fascinated by the composition, the contrast between black and white, the difference between light and dark, capturing contemporary images. Painting and drawing give him the satisfaction of self-creation, building the image from nothing to create a final outcome. For this series his surrounding area was an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Here he was attracted by the frosted glass of a bus stop and the life that is happening behind. This series has been developed over several months with the ever changing light. The frosted glass of the bus stop has a clear impact on the images. As an unobtrusive observer he witnessed a faded, almost impressionistic depiction of reality.
