We have arrived at a critical point within photography that can only be described as a societal paranoia of photographing children and its censoring, and if not careful society will contribute to a future of imagery without children present. My project is titled ‘George’; my intention is to create the absence/loss of the child within the image along with the absence/censoring of the camera/photographic within the image. This approach is used to cause the viewer to identify with both and deflect this paranoiac way of seeing back onto them, in doing so forcing them to recognize there own societal conditioning.
