This forest is a cathedral, a holy place filled with light. It even has an arched roof, and a lot of gold. Cathedrals built by man are meant to last forever. Man constructs them from stone and earth, and the task can take centuries. They can stand for millennia, but they won’t last for all of time. Nothing made by man does. The glowing yellow leaves won’t last a month, the poplar trees will probably be gone in a cen- tury. But the sacred places of nature are eternal.
