n one of the care facilities, so called “Doll therapy” is taken place to elder with senile dementia. The method is as simple as just letting them holds a baby doll, specially made as similar to Japanese average baby in terms of weight and height. However, the therapy could ease their insomnia and wandering or enhance their expression of emotion. This method is still under investigation, but for those elders the dolls seem to metamorphosis into their someone “beloved.” These images were taken in Osaka, Japan, 2012.
