An ongoing project that was started in the Spring of 2010, the Lighthouse Series is a collection of long exposure black and white photographs. Growing up near the water and within walking distance of numerous lighthouses along the commercial waterway called Elbe, Marc developed a deep appreciation and connection to these structures. Functional and efficient, Marc often felt invited to take a rest and simply use the opportunity to gaze at the marine traffic moving by. Lighthouses felt like doors to worlds far away. With this series, Marc aims to capture those feelings and dreams of far away worlds and exotic destinations.
