About Photographer

Inspire Landscapes is the work of Tom Putt, one of Australia’s most prolific landscape photographers. Part of the new generation of panoramic landscape photographers, Tom is passionate and wildly enthusiastic about his photography, spending the last 15 years exploring all parts of Australia to photograph panoramic images. Tom first feel in love with photography at age 13. He photographed wildlife as an amateur before leaving university to pursue a career in sports photography. In 1998, Tom was fortunate enough to take the eye of Australia’s leading sports photography agency, Sport the Library. In his time covering sport, he covered over 300 events in a three-year period, including the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games (bio below). Tom’s passion has always been in panoramic landscape photography. His first photoshoot as a landscape photographer was walking the Overland Track for the first time in 1997. Since then, he has travelled extensively across Australia and New Zealand photographing landscapes in panoramic format. Tom is an Associate of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), and has won over 50 Gold and Silver Awards in National and State Finals. In 2005, he was the only Australian to be Highly Commended in the world’s most prestigious wildlife photogaphic competition, the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Tom’s images are proudly represented by the world’s leading stock photography library, Getty Images. Tom has always loved looking and admiring landscapes in print so more recently he has published my own panoramic landscape books, showcasing the best of my work from various parts of Australia and New Zealand.
