By the late 1800's, the Aboriginal people of North America had lost almost all of their land to white men. How this happened is a long and complicated story and one that continues to arouse feelings of anger and resentment on both sides of the issue. Paradise Promised explores the historic relationship between Aboriginal people and white colonists/settlers in regards to the changing roles in power and land ownership. It is the hope that this photographic series will bring a solid base of knowledge to the table that will lead to understanding, healing, and peace.
