The Cave

Entry Description

A portrait of a bride the day before her wedding. A shrine stood at one end of the cave where local villagers worship the ancestors and thousands of bats stirred when I began to photograph. As she stood in the light against the colours of the cave wall, she embodied the characteristics of painting, perhaps from the pre-Raphaelite era.
