Entry Description

With the use of black and white film, the past seems to merge with the present as it does in the places near my hometown of New Orleans, LA. The themes of nostalgia, loss, timelessness, history, the past and the present all emerge.

About Photographer

I have been a photographer for over 15 years. It is a passion more than a business. I have had jobs and been offered jobs, but my camera is with me no matter where I am and quite often I take pictures for people, not for money, but for the love of photography, the love of exploring to find that perfect moment, that glimpse of a soul, that which will be a lost memory, those singular beautiful moments, whether triumph or tragedy, transfixed in time. I love film still. My favorite images are created on film, usually black and white, or with some combination of film and digital. I love the darkroom. It is a place of zen and the only place I feel alive and real and completely in the moment.
