A mix of art and science. This unique series is a pure photography piece (no digital enhancement). Using intricate method of preserving, dissecting, burning, leaving it to rot/dying; in which later ‘freezing’ them to achieve a different textured opaque, or clear ice. Anliette would sometimes dripped the water layer by layer to achieve the desired translucent effects before photographing them. Each composition is unique, as when the ice melts, the original piece is no longer usable. Anliette is interested in capturing every stage of blossoms, from bud to their dying stage as she believes that there is beauty in every stage of life.
