There is a shyness when languages are a barrier. The universal language discovered during my travels abroad is the most simpleā€¦a smile. The moment when the shyness disappears and the person opens their soul, for a smile is the soul singing. The children of Nepal have a light within them that bursts forth like rays of sunshine. Beaming with their radiating smiles they draw you in with their enchanting innocence. I spent five months living in one of the most extreme regions of the world. Extreme poverty. Extreme hardship. Extreme beauty. Extreme happiness. Extremely touching smiles.
