During an aerial flight over the Icelandic Highlands, I was mesmerized by the variety of shapes, colors, and patterns created by the melting snow and glacial ice pack. Taken from between 500 and 1500 feet, rivers were miraculously transformed into abstract art forms that allow the viewer to see these mighty glacial flows in a new way.
