Wairua means Spirit in Maori, which was my aim to capture in this image. Its shot in the backyard of my client’s house, with a multiple flashes set up. It was all about the moment, the cloudy sky gave me gaps of bright sun in an uneven rhythm. A bit of timing, and the blend of the artificial light- with the suns light coming through the trees, created the feeling in this photo. Models: Franko Heke and Louis Kereopa
