“Bajao Children” Bajau or “Badjao”, people that neglected … Bajao means “man of the seas”. By tradition, the people are sea nomads, travel by boat from one island to the next in search of fishing harvest, therefore they also called “Sea-Gypsies” Over the years, more and more Bajao people have ben lured away from the ocean, migrating to a life on land. Because of their lifestyle, the Bajao are at a disadvantage with no schooling, healthcare or access to government-provided social services. These series of Bajao children are taken at Bajao village in the province of Batangas Philippine, a place that isolated from outside world.
