Among many traditions of Bede Community, the process to heal ill infants is breathtaking. They believe if an infant cries overnight, it’s a sign of evil taking possession of the child's body and call an Ozha (Spiritual Healer) for the exorcism cause only her magical power is believed to cure the baby. The Ozha grabs the child and makes it undergo a series of torments as it wails. Forcing it to walk on its own feet is one of them. Most children seem to recover, by this baffling process as an example of the power of faith. This photo series is a portrayal of their unusual custom.
