Drawing inspiration from my lifelong preoccupation with the collecting and displaying of natural found ephemera this series highlights my desire to hold onto nature’s evanescent treasures. At the same time, I reference a seemingly dystopian dimension in each resultant still life that is a central theme in all of my photography. To this end, the soft black and white tones help me to augment the vital illusive, ethereal component crucial to each environment created.
