In this series I photographed my mile-long stone driveway’s potholes filled with water, bubbles, ice and debris. I digitally layer, enhance and manipulate the photographs to create the resulting images. Potholes crumble from the inside out from repetitive freezing and thawing resulting in cavernous hollows. We inevitably encounter hollows along our chosen paths. These hollows represent the unexpected obstacles that we experience in the journey of life. A selected path, knocked out of line, layers run deep, wonder floats idly and order revealed.
