I have taken these photos during the war in Croatia, ex-Yugoslavia (1991-1995). The Serb families have been forced to leave their homes... leave everything but hope and to escape... A lot of elderly people remained in their houses where eventually and almost always they have been killed. During this fratricidal war most international sources place the number of Serbs displaced at around 300,000 and around 6,792 killed and missing...(missing - those that are not found (still today) and is not known where and when they are dead.) These photos I dedicate to all the refugees of the world and to my family.
