Published in 2021 by Daylight Books, part of Daylight Community Arts Foundation, A Southern Verse is an unbiased exploration of small towns of the southeastern United States. Taken over a period of five years, the images use structures and objects, both natural and manufactured, to guide the viewer through a landscape whose past is very much its present. These photographs present a landscape that is both oddly common and curiously foreign, guiding the audience on a journey free of both criticism and praise and leaving one free to contemplate the environments as they are.
