“Not Fair” Is a TV spot I created for the Chicago hospital, University of Chicago Medicine. Being a cancer survivor of a stage 4 cancer myself at this same hospital being my saviors, it was a life changing experience revisited. Given the freedom to add to the creative boards, I was able to project my experiences, and tribulations to this spot. “Not Fair is about the unjust path people with real illness must travel to survive. It finishes with Beyonce’s song “I am a Survivor” sung by a Chicago children’s church choir. It’s a chilling finish that usually bring tears to those who watch it.
