The complex apparatus of glass pipes which maximises microalgae photosynthesis and reproduction. Algae are ancestral living organisms that constitute the basis of aquatic food chains. These organisms have a very short doubling time, and they are considered among the fastest-growing creatures. They have different pathways to fix atmospheric carbon dioxide and efficiently utilize the nutrients to convert it into biomass. It is estimated that more than 72,500 algae species have been identified, with just 220 currently being used.
