The flames lit by Our Lady of Fátima once again illuminated the Sanctuary of Fátima on Thursday 13 May 2022 in Fatima, Portugal. More than 200,000 people traveled to Cova da Iria for the first post-covid-19 May 13 celebration, without the constraints caused by the pandemic. The Sanctuary of Fátima annually welcomes hundred of thousands of pilgrims and tourists. Many come to participate in the celebrations that commemorate the apparitions of Our Lady to the three witness of Fátima. Fatima is one of the most important religious pilgrimage sites in the world.
