Yamrot Nureye worked for 15 years as waitress in a hotel for long-distance drivers, until she was found HIV. She experienced being let down and abandoned by friends and family. Her son, 5 year old Habtamu was born with HIV. She changed her life radically when she entered herself into an association for people with HIV. They run a cooperative farm, where she works in the corn field. She can hit a phone line at 30 meters away with her stone sling.
