Somewhere I read that the best way to understand a country is to cross it by train. And so I did, indeed, I wanted to exaggerate, I jumped on a train and from Trieste I reached Athens, passing through Balkans. Then I repeated the experiment, traveling in one night from Palermo to Milan and then from Marrakech to the border between Morocco and Algeria. I have to be honest, of these countries I think I did not understand much. All that remains is a naive essay on human geography.
