Gabriel Wickbold presents the photographic series I AM ONLINE, composed of 10 pictures. The series focuses on what Wickbold describes as the “digital suffocation” caused by the omnipresence of internet and social media in our present lives. In order to create this distressing feeling, the artist captured several dramatic images showing different people and their body parts wound up in multicolored threads, which represent these stifling connections. As a result, after being photographed, these human installations have become a portrait of our own time.
