The northern part of Shanxi Province, China, is known as the region outside the Great Wall. The Great Wall, which was used for ancient war defense, has been integrated with human production activities such as farming and animal husbandry, and now becomes a tourist destination. This group of long-term record works has been shot for nearly ten years, and has collected a large number of images about the Great Wall and the local human lifestyle. It is a nostalgia for the local landscape culture, an appeal for the protection of historical and cultural heritage, and an anthropological study.
