Guantanamo: Interiors of Extraordinary Incarceration These images show the interiors where hundreds of men have been held and interrogated at the detention camps at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. They illustrate how the architecture and design of the detention camps convey the sense of isolation and vulnerability central to the experience of incarceration at Guantanamo. Since 2002 there have been eight camps constructed at Guantanamo, ranging from temporary cages built from wire to sophisticated maximum security prisons.
