Cabaret, the music and dance style born of social upheaval in the Weimar Republic, has traveled far from its roots in 1920's Berlin. The god-mother of drag shows, the genre lives on in countless venues catering to the gay community in the form of drag. This entry includes a text tracing Cabaret's thread through history, and a monochrome pictorial recalling its glory days.
