„Unpredictable Certainty“ is a photo project documenting the effects of the daily energy crisis management in the private sector and in the homes in Germany‘s most important industrial region. I started this project in the late summer of 2022. At that time, it was completely unclear how the energy supply would develop. The population was concerned about whether gas storage facilities would be full enough to get through the winter unscathed or whether consumption would even have to be sanctioned more heavily. In March 2023, we can say that we came through the winter reasonably unscathed.
