For the past eight months, I have been embedded with the Fort Collins Police SWAT team to learn who the people behind the badge are and how they cope with the situations they respond to. In that time, I followed along on one search warrant, one barricaded suspect, dozens of practices, and was graciously allowed into their personal lives. "Throwing a Block" is the result of that time and the story I don't think many get to see. It is one of fulfillment and tribulations Both for the officers as well as myself.
