During the winter of 1947, the once prosperous British seaside town of Hastings bode farewell to one of its most notorious residents: the Occultist, Aleister Crowley. Having travelled far and wide, he returned and cast one final spell over the town in his dying days: cursing the people born there from ever being able to escape. Lost Ones explores this history through an ode to youth set in the present; a time where opportunities are scarce; rural pipe dreams aplenty. Shot over several summers the project explores teenage banality in all its heady, mysterious and sometimes violent detail.
