Her father, under the influence of alcohol, attacked her mother with a hunting knife. Wioleta shielded her with her body and was injured multiple times. One of the blows cut her spinal cord. Now Wioleta lives in a social apartment and has no contact with her biological family. Due to neuropathic pain in her legs and opioid medication, she is unable to obtain a driver's license. She is unable to take on regular work. Although she was nominated for award in the category of "extraordinary deed", she considers herself an ordinary person leading a normal life.
