"As Usual As Always" is a series inspired by the 2019 Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement in Hong Kong. As a photojournalist, I witnessed many violent incidents during the six-month-long movement. Although it has ended, I question whether everything has indeed returned to normal. My series explores the idea of "normal" by juxtaposing seemingly peaceful places with memories of violent events. This provokes reflection on the long-lasting effects of social and political upheavals on society.
