This is part of an ongoing personal, environmental portrait project, wherein I by photograph women over forty in their homes. In this project, I instruct the subjects to pick outfits that make them feel attractive and confident, thus hoping to remove societal elements of what is considered "sexy". Traditional male poses, masculine camera angles, expressions, and melancholic emotions are some of the elements that I juxtapose on my subjects to give women the much needed on-camera, multi-dimensional personas and characters that are typically avoided and lacking in traditional female imagery.
