The images generated by the drug war in Ciudad Juárez were many. There were generally very graphic expressions that appeared in the newspapers about the victims and perpetrators. I wanted to make this photographic series because I believe it is valuable to provide different views and perspectives on an event. And I was interested in showing how a young woman had experienced this event from an intimate and different perspective than the one that has already been very visible in the hegemonic media. I also seeks to talk about the context of a border city and the normalization of violence.
